Why tone is part of the product

Useful products need clear words, not just neat screens and a clever feature list.

Tone is not decoration. It is part of how a product explains itself, earns trust and helps someone know what to do next.

This matters most when the subject is sensitive, stressful or unfamiliar. Scam awareness needs calm, practical language. Wellbeing check-ins need dignity. Therapy workflow software needs clarity without pretending to provide clinical advice.

Good tone reduces friction. It makes the product feel more human without making it less serious.
